Caramel Bourbon Bread Pudding Recipe!
Ingredients:
Bread Pudding:
2 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
2 (14 oz) loaves of day old brioche, 1” cubes
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup caramel chips
1/4 cup dried sweetened cranberries
1 tbsp cinnamon
Custard:
1 cup whole milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp bourbon
pinch salt
Bourbon Caramel Sauce:
1 (13.4 oz) can dulce de leche
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup bourbon
Instructions:
Preheat the grill/oven to 350 ºF
Cut up the bread into 1" cubes
Grease a 12" Cast Iron skillet with butter
Place the bread in the skillet with the chocolate chips, cranberries, and cinnamon
Mix the custard together and pour over bread mixture
Let it rest for 30 minutes to soak up the custard
Top with Pecans
Cook for 25 minutes covered at 350 ºF then remove the lid and turn the grill/oven to 400 ºF and cook for an additional 15-25 minutes
